Windar Photonics secures new test order

Mon, 05th Aug 2024 10:55

(Sharecast News) - Technology group Windar Photonics said on Monday that a new test order had the potential to lead to "significant new orders" in the future.

Windar stated it had received a new order from a Canadian client to test its WindEye product on the Senvion turbine platform, starting in September.

While the value of this test order, which includes the use of supporting software, was not in itself material, the AIM-listed group anticipates that if the test is successful, it could lead to potentially significant new orders.

"We continue to be in discussions with numerous operators in North America regarding orders for multiple turbine platforms and our view of the order outlook in Japan, Australia and China remains optimistic," added Windar. "The board looks forward to providing a further update on progress with our interim results in the autumn."

As of 1050 BST, Windar shares were down 3.09% at 47.0p.
