Westminster Group expects lower first-half revenue to Ebola crisis

Westminster Group said its managed services revenues during the first half of the year will be below expectations due to the Ebola crisis.The group expects the operating loss to be comparable to the same period last year, driven by a reduction in gross margin due to lower passenger numbers generated by its West African airport operations.However, without the impact of Ebola, the first-half results would have been "approximately break-even", the group noted. The results also exclude the expected positive impact of the ferry service which is due to become operational in July.On a more positive note, the company said it sees additional service opportunities around charter and cargo once its flagship ferry vessel is fully operational.Shares were down 1.89% to 23.3p on Tuesday at 14:16.
