(Sharecast News) - Central bankers will continue to be in focus over the coming week with of the Bank of England's top officials set to deliver remarks.
According to some economists, Monetary Policy Committee members' comments will be carefully parsed for clues as to their outlook for interest rates.
First at the podium on Monday will be Jonathan Haskel and Catherine Mann, followed by their colleagues, chief economist Huw Pill and Silvia Tenreyro the following day.
On Wednesday meanwhile, Federal Reserve chairman, Jerome Powell, is due to deliver his Semiannual Monetary Policy Report to Congress.
Next in importance will be a raft of preliminary survey readings for manufacturing and services sector activity for June in the euro area and UK, on Thursday.
Other UK data scheduled for release include a reading on May CPI on Wednesday, public sector borrowing figures also for May on Thursday and monthly retail sales numbers on Friday.
The last day of the week will see the release too of the final results of the University of Michigan's closely-followed US consumer confidence survey.
US stockmarkets will remain closed on 20 June in observance of the Juneteenth National Independence Day.
