LONDON (Alliance News) - WANdisco PLC Tuesday that that it has agreed its first Big Data deployment through its Hortonworks channel partnership with the University of California's Irvine Health.
Under the agreement WANdisco will provide Irvine Health with continuous access to its data through its Non-Stop technology.
WANdisco said that the Non-Stop Hadoop technology will allow Irvine to build modelling systems to minimize deaths caused by medical error.
"While initially our technology will be deployed on a relatively small scale, we look forward to working closely with UCI and developing our relationship over the coming months," said Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David Richards in a statement.
Shares in WANdisco were trading up 0.5% at 1,322.00 pence Tuesday.
