VPC Speciality's Investment Manager Launches New Investment Fund

Wed, 21st Mar 2018 12:48

LONDON (Alliance News) - VPC Specialty Lending Investments PLC said Wednesday its investment manager has teamed up with International Finance Corp to launch a new fund.

Victory Park Capital's new fund will invest in the financial technology sector in emerging markets, aiming to improve access to debt capital for companies who lend to small business and consumers in those markets, the company said.

Victory Park Capital's Senior Partner Brendan Carroll said: "Our partnership with IFC, the largest global development institution focused exclusively on the private sector and a leading investor in financial technology in developing countries, opens a world of opportunities to fill the growing need for capital in emerging markets and scale our existing exposure."

"We are a long-standing investor to companies that provide innovative financial solutions, often overlooked by traditional investors despite generating attractive returns, and we are eager to continue identifying high-quality opportunities alongside IFC."

VPC Speciality shares were down 0.7% on Wednesday at 77.00 pence each.
