Vitec promotes Martin Green to board

(ShareCast News) - Broadcast and photographic service provider Vitec Group announced on Wednesday that Martin Green has been appointed an executive director with effect from 4 January.The AIM-traded firm said Green's title will be group business development director, and he will have responsibility for business development - particularly focusing on the Asia-Pacific region and opportunities in the creative solutions businesses, as well as his existing responsibility for corporate development and HR.Green has been with the group since April 2003, and the board said he has been instrumental in focusing the group on its core broadcast and photographic businesses.His existing responsibilities include strategy, mergers and acquisitions, human resources, and legal.Previously he held corporate development positions at Bunzl, at a broadcast equipment rental business and worked in investment banking at N M Rothschild.Green trained and qualified as a solicitor with Linklaters & Alliance in the UK and is a certified accountant."The board would like to welcome Martin to the board reflecting his importance in the development of the group and the execution of its strategy," said Vitec chairman John McDonough."Martin has wide commercial experience and an in depth knowledge of the group and the broadcast and photographic markets that will enhance delivery of our strategy."
