LONDON (Alliance News) - Victoria Oil & Gas PLC Monday said the first power has come online at the Bassa power station in Cameroon.
Victoria said 20 megawatt of gas-generated power is now being supplied to the grid from the Bassa power station following installation of the Altaaqa Genset generators at the plant. Victoria's Gaz du Cameroun SA subsidiary is supplying the gas to the power station.
Victoria said Altaaqa is now set to focus on the completion of Genset installation at the Logbaba Power Station, though Victoria did say that the original schedule of both power stations being online by March has been pushed back to April due to shipping delays.
Shares in the company were up 1.6% to 65.25 pence on Monday morning.
