US financial giants boost UK investments and jobs

Sept 14 (Reuters) - The UK government on Saturday announced a total of over 1.25 billion pounds ($1.69 billion) of private U.S. investment in the UK's financial services sector including PayPal, Bank of America, Citi Bank and S&P.

New U.S. investments will create 1,800 jobs from Belfast to Edinburgh and boost benefits for millions of customers, the statement said. ($1 = 0.7377 pounds) (Reporting by Rhea Rose Abraham in Bengaluru; Editing by Daniel Wallis)
