U.S. envoy to Saudi Arabia condemns attacks on Aramco oil facilities

RIYADH, Sept 14 (Reuters) - The U.S. envoy to Saudi Arabiacondemned as "unacceptable" drone attacks on Saudi oilfacilities on Saturday which were claimed by Yemen'sIran-aligned Houthi movement.

"The U.S. strongly condemns today's drone attacks againstoil facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais. These attacks againstcritical infrastructure endanger civilians, are unacceptable,and sooner or later will result in innocent lives being lost,”the U.S. mission quoted Ambassador John Abizaid as saying.(Reporting by Tuqa Khalid; Writing by Ghaida Ghantous; Editingby Mark Potter)
