Tri-States NGL to shut for work on May 23 - Destin

May 13 (Reuters) - The 80,000-barrel-per-day Tri-StatesNatural Gas Liquids (NGL) pipeline running from Mobile, Alabama,to Kenner, Louisiana, will be shut down for approximately twohours on May 23, 2014 to perform planned maintenance, DestinPipeline Co LLC said on Tuesday in a website posting.

The outage is not expected to affect Destin's services, theposting said.

The 169-mile Tri-States pipeline is owned and operated by BPPipelines North America.

The 225-mile Destin gas pipeline system can carry 1.2billion cubic feet per day from offshore Gulf of Mexico to thePascagoula plant and then north to interconnections with sixmajor interstate gas lines.

It is majority-owned by BP's Amoco Destin Pipeline Co, withEnbridge Inc's Enbridge Offshore holding a 33 percentstake. (Reporting by Anupam Chatterjee in Bangalore; Editing by DavidGregorio)
