Tharisa Expects Rise In Annual Earnings As Mining Operations Improve

(Alliance News) - Tharisa PLC said Tuesday it expects to report a solid rise in profit for its recently ended financial year.

For the year to the end of September, the miner expects earnings per share on a basic and headline basis to be between 16 and 17 US cents. This reflects a fourfold increase from 4 cents the year before.

In early October, Tharisa reported a rise in annual production, with platinum group metals production rising by 1.8% at 142,100 ounces, and chrome concentrate production increasing by 4.2% to 1.34 million tonnes.

Tharisa expects to publish its financial results on or about Monday next week.
