Statoil CEO not considering stepping down over Algeria

OSLO, Sept 12 (Reuters) - Statoil Chief Executive Helge Lundsaid he was not considering resigning on Thursday after thecompany's own investigation into an attack on its gas facilityin Algeria concluded the venture relied too heavily on Algerianmilitary protection.

Statoil Chairman Svein Rennemo added that the board had fullconfidence in Statoil's management, including Lund.
