Sportech In Talks To Sell Its Global Tote Business To BetMakers

(Alliance News) - Sportech PLC on Monday said it is in advanced discussions with BetMakers Technology Group Ltd regarding the potential sale of its Global Tote business for a total cash price of approximately GBP31 million, following recent press reports.

The London-based online gambling and entertainment company said it is continuing to review all options and "there can be no certainty that the sale of the Global Tote business will proceed or the terms upon which any such sale would take place."

Sportech's remaining businesses, if the sale of the Global Tote business were to proceed and complete, would comprise of the Venues business, the Lottery business and the Bump 50:50 business.

Sportech said it will issue a further statement if and when appropriate.

Shares in Sportech were up 3.1% at 28.25 pence in London on Monday.
