New contracts won recently means electronics group Intelek is confident of a stronger trading performance in the second half of the year than previously expected.'The increased visibility of Paradise Datacom's major defence and security industry opportunities, the introduction of new products, the strengthening of the order book at Labtech, and the stabilisation of CML's programmes, give us confidence for the second half,' it said. Business support services provider Intec Telecom has won a contract with a leading global handset provider. The unnamed company has chosen Intec's convergent billing product to deal with content management on the company's web site. No details of the contract's value were revealed.CustomVis, the maker of laser equipment used in eye surgery, said the laser trial at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London that was delayed because of staff shortages over the summer period has now started. Results from the trial should be known by the time the company announces its results in early November.The company has also won two new contracts with surgeons for its Pulzar Z1 laser product.AIM traded eLearning and compliance courseware solutions business Intellego said it expects to continue its growth in the next six months.RTC Group, which provides recruitment, training and conferencing services, posted a 22% fall in turnover to £9.8m in the first six months of the year, but said that the trading outlook 'does not look as dangerous as in the first quarter.'Vehicle tracking technology firm Cybit Holdings has won contracts to provide global positioning services to customers of Integra Telematics, a subsidiary of GDS Mobile Communications Limited (GDS). As part of the deal, GDS will become a reseller and installer of Cybit solutions.
