A 'highly encouraging' result from tests at its Putu iron ore project in Liberia has given shares in African Aura Mining a lift.'We are incredibly pleased with the metallurgical test results from the Putu project which indicate substantially improved recoveries and higher concentrates to what had previously been modelled by Amdel on early-stage less representative samples taken in 2008,' the company said.Lottery operator The Weather Lottery (TWL) has bought ClickNow, the operator of the search engine that provides supporters of charities, schools and not-for-profit organisations with a source of additional revenue through online marketing.In a deal valued at £0.05m TWL is paying for the acquisition through the issue of 5m ordinary shares. In the six months to 30 September Clicknow more or less broke even. TWL intend to integrate ClickNow with its lottery products for similar customers and cross market between the two client bases.Premier Oil has signed an agreement with Antrim Energy to study options for the Fyne Area in the UK Central North Sea. Under the terms of the agreement, Premier will have the option to acquire a 39.9% interest in Block 21/28a containing the Fyne field in return for payment of up to $50m towards the pre-development and development costs. Antrim owns a 75% working interest in Block 21/28a, and a 100% working interest in the adjacent Blocks 21/28b, 21/29c, 21/24b and 21/24c.Datatec subsidiary Westcon Group has agreed to acquire the outstanding 2.6% interest in its own share capital that is not already owned by Datatec for a consideration of $14.3m.Shares in ATH Resources dropped 12% on poor first half sales volumes. In a trading update, the UK coal producer reported that the first half was adversely affected by one of the worst winters Scotland has seen for over 100 years. Shares jumped 15.6% today for KBC Advanced Technologies as Pemex Refinacion, agreed a $42m deal for a Profit Improvement Program for their six refineries. The contract, which has been extended from an initial two sites to six sites earlier than anticipated, will last for 30 months and is the single largest award in KBC's history.
