Shell Malaysia to cut 1,300 upstream jobs over two years

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Oil and gas company ShellMalaysia announced on Tuesday a reorganisation of its upstreamdivision, which will see a reduction of 1,300 jobs over the nexttwo years.

Shell Malaysia, a unit of Royal Dutch Shell PLC,said in a statement the programme aims to improve efficiency andremoving complexity to become a more agile and competitivecompany. It has a total workforce of about 6,500 staff.
