Sepura acquires radio trunking group Flyde Micro

FTSE Small Cap-listed communications provider Sepura has acquired UK-based radio trunking group Flyde Micro for 2.75m pounds.Fylde Micro develops tunking controllers that allow migration from analogue to digital networks. Last year the group reported unaudited revenues of £1.2m and was broadly breakeven. Contingent consideration of up to £3.5m will be payable in cash if the firm meets certain earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) targets over the next two years.Chief Executive Officer Gordon Watling said: "Fylde's enabling technology adds another dimension to our critical communications portfolio. "We expect the combination of our DMR products with Fylde's trunking solutions will further accelerate the migration from analogue to digital by smaller, commercial PMR users."As of 10:56 the share price was unchanged at 136.75p.WS
