SeaEnergy agrees shipping management joint venture

AIM-listed offshore energy group SeaEnergy has entered into a joint venture with Singapore-based shipping company Go Offshore (GO) to manage GO's vessels in the UK adn Europe.Via its subsidiary SeaEnergy Ship Management (SEASM), the group will own a 51% stake in the venture which will manage GO's vessels in the UK, European and adjacent waters. The joint venture (JV) will initially assume the management of MV Surf Ranger, a subsea support vessel which was already under SEASM management. A second vessel, the GO Pegasus, an anchor handler, is expected to arrive in Europe from the Far East during the summer and other GO vessels are anticipated to come under the JV's management later on in the year.The two companies are also focused on the construction and operation of accommodation and maintenance vessels to support the offshore wind farm and oil and gas industries, and are actively tendering together for the provision of such vessels to clients.As of 10:33 the share price had risen 6.67% to 35p.
