(Alliance News) - Investment company Schroder UK Public Private Trust PLC on Friday noted that its portfolio company Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd announced its potential intention to undertake an initial public offer in London.
The trust owns a 3.7% stake in Oxford Nanopore which was valued at GBP90.7 million as at the end of March, an implied total equity value of GBP2.5 billion.
Details of a date or issue price for the float were not provided, although last week Reuters reported that the company is looking to build on the GBP2.48 billion valuation it achieved during a funding round in May, citing two sources familiar with the matter.
Schroder UK Public shares closed 7.2% higher in London on Friday at 34.87 pence each.
