LONDON (Alliance News) - Europe and North Africa-focused oil and gas exploration company San Leon Energy PLC said the El Aaiun-4 Well on the Tarfaya licence, onshore Morocco, was spud Friday.
The well is being drilled with Entrepose Drilling's Cabot 750 rig, the company said, and is expected to take around 30 days to reach its total depth of around 2,000 metres.
San Leon is the operator of the Tarfaya licence, and holds a 75% net operated interest. The Moroccan National Bureau of Petroleum and Mines holds the remaining interest.
Shares in San Leon were up 1.2% at 52.88 pence Friday afternoon.
