Set-top box maker Pace has snapped up Belfast-based Latens Systems, a software company that specialises in the payTV market. The consideration is £28.8m cash, with £10m of that deferred and payable in 2012 depending on performance.Life group Hansard Global's new business premiums rose by 58% to £51.8m in the third quarter. Regular premium flows rose by 29.8% over Q1 2010 and single premium flows by 77.6%. The new business performance also reflects the impact of single premiums of approximately £20.3m received on five contracts. Overall new business margin of 5.1% (Q1 2010: 5.8%) reflects the impact of large single premium cases. Assets under administration were £.1.2bn at end September, up 7.5% since June. Hansard
