Rightster Expects Full-Year Revenue Rise On Video Views Growth

LONDON (Alliance News) - Rightster Group PLC said Tuesday that expects to post more more than doubled revenue for the year ended December 31 2013, as it saw strong growth in video views in the second-half.

The company expects revenue after commissions payable to Rights Holders and Publishers of GBP2.0 million, up from GBP230,000 in the previous year. Including revenue generated from a buy-out deal which it discontinued in early 2013, it expects revenue of GBP5.1 million, up from GBP2.5 million in the previous year.

Rightster provides cloud services to distribute and monetise on-demand and live video. Rightster said that it had see average monthly views in the second-half of the year rise to 249.5 million per month from 160.7 million in the previous year. The company added new agency Agence France-Presse as a client, and will be distributing its content.

Rightster said that January 2014 had started strongly, as it saw further growth in video views. It expressed confidence for 2014, saying it expects increases in advertising funded revenues.

Shares in Rightster were trading up 1.4% at 72.00 pence Tuesday morning.
