NetLogic chooses Imagination

Tue, 05th Oct 2010 07:58
US semi-conductor firm NetLogic Microsystems is to use UK chip designer Imagination Technologies' intellectual property in some of its future products.Imagination has signed a contract with NetLogic, a specialist in high-performance intelligent networking semiconductor solutions, covering intellectual property (IP) cores from Imagination's POWERVR multimedia family.Under the terms of the license agreement Imagination will receive licence fees and royalty revenues based on shipments of semiconductor products incorporating Imagination's IP.Last month Imagination said it expects icensing revenue to continue to make progress across the financial year as a whole, although it provided the usual caveat about the precise timing of the closure of licensing deals making it difficult to predict the full year outcome accurately.
