Monitise confirms early stage talks to sell content business

(ShareCast News) - AIM-listed mobile payment processor Monitise confirmed on Friday that it is in very early stage discussions regarding a possible disposal of the content business, Markco Media."There is no certainty that a disposal will take place or what the terms of any such disposal may be," it said.At its interim results last month, Monitise had said it would continue to evaluate all assets within the group to ensure they remain core to its proposition.The company bought Markco Media - the parent company of MyVoucherCodes.co.uk - for £55m back in 2014.At 1420 GMT, Monitise shares were up 38% to 3.00p.
