Metlen sees record 2026 turnover, backs EUR2 billion earnings target

Thu, 21st May 2026 09:44

(Alliance News) - Metlen Energy & Metals PLC on Thursday said it expects record turnover in 2026 and reaffirmed its medium-term earnings target, following what it described as a strong start to the year.

The Athens-based energy and metallurgy company said it expects full-year earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation to recover to between EUR1.0 billion and EUR1.15 billion in 2026, from EUR753 million in 2025 and down from EUR1.08 billion in 2024.

Metlen also reiterated its medium-term Ebitda target of EUR2.0 billion.

The company said trading momentum has remained solid across its Energy, Metals and Infrastructure businesses, supported by continued execution of its strategic investment programme.

Metlen said performance is expected to strengthen further throughout the year as it continues focusing on its core strategic priorities in Energy and Metals, while advancing opportunities in infrastructure, defence and circular metals.

The update was issued ahead of the company's annual general meeting in Athens on Thursday morning. Its shares were down 0.2% at EUR38.16 in London.
