(Alliance News) - Martin Currie Asia Unconstrained Trust PLC on Tuesday declared a 5.7 pence per share interim dividend.
The dividend is for the period ended Tuesday this week and will be paid September 16, with an ex-dividend date of Thursday next week. This is a substitute for the company's interim dividend usually paid in December, and has been changed due to reconstruction plans.
The company is planning to liquidate and then rollover its assets into another investment company managed by Martin Currie Investment Management Ltd.
Back in June, the trust said it intends to pay a final 14 pence per share dividend, flat from financial 2018, with the total dividend per share maintained at 16.70p per share.
Shares in Martin Currie Asia Unconstrained were up 0.8% at 416.80p on Tuesday afternoon in London.
