LONDON (Alliance News) - LPA Group PLC Thursday said it had been preferred bidder on a deal to supply LED lighting for the new intercity trains being built by Hitachi for the Great Western and East Coast mainlines.
It said the initial value of the contract is expected to exceed GBP5 million.
The LED lighting and electro-mechanical equipment company said it had also received a letter of intent from Hitachi to supply power jumpers for the new trains.
LPA Group shares were up 1.5% at 68.03 pence midday Thursday.
