Low & Bonar Appoints Smith & Nephew Veteran Ian Ashton As CFO

LONDON (Alliance News) - Low & Bonar PLC said Monday it has appointed Ian Ashton as chief financial officer from next week.

Ashton will be appointed to the board of the maker of polymer-based yarns and fibres as an executive director on Monday next week. He was previously CFO of Labviva LLC, a US-based technology company.

For 20 years and until December 2017, he worked at Smith & Nephew PLC in various financial roles.

Following Ashton's appointment, current CFO Simon Webb will step down from the board on December 17 but remain employed by the company until the end of February.

Low & Bonar shares were trading up 0.4% at 26.60 pence each.
