London Stock Exchange completes acquisition of Frank Russell

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has completed the acquisition of Frank Russell Company, marking a "significant step for the company".LSEG purchased the index and investment management services company from Northwestern Mutual and other minority shareholders for a total cash consideration of £1,590m.It said the comprehensive review of Russell's investment management business was making good progress and is on track to be completed early in 2015.Chief executive Xavier Rolet said: "Russell significantly enhances LSEG's presence in the US, the world's largest global financial services market, further expanding our global footprint and diversifying our customer and product base."We are delighted today to welcome Russell to the group, and we are looking forward to working with new colleagues, new customers and new partners around the world."
