LONDON (Alliance News) - Internet of Things technology company LightwaveRF PLC on Thursday said it has started the first phase of works integrating its platform with Nest.

Nest makes thermostats, smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors controlled via smartphones. It is owned by US technology giant Google, part of Alphabet Inc.

"We are excited about the additional flexibility this connection provides to Nest and LightwaveRF customers," said LightwaveRF Chief Executive Mike Lord.

LightwaveRF shares were up 7.7% to 14.00 pence Thursday.
