Law Debenture Outperforms Benchmark

LONDON (Alliance News) - The Law Debenture Corporation PLC Wednesday said it outperformed its benchmark over the nine-month period to September 30.

Law Debenture, whose portfolio of investments is managed by Henderson Global Investors Ltd, said its net asset value total return was 19.8% over the nine months to September 30, meaning that the investment trust and fiduciary services provider outperformed its benchmark index, the FTSE All-Share, by 5.2 percentage points, as it reported a 14.6% total return.

The trust side of the business reported a net asset value per share, excluding income, of 442.6 pence on September 30, while its NAV per share, cum income, was 449.8p.

The trust's portfolio counts HSBC, Royal Dutch Shell and GlaxoSmithKline among its top ten equity holdings.
