John Wood Secures Deal To Install Siemens Turbine At Power Station

LONDON (Alliance News) - John Wood Group PLC on Thursday said it secured a contract with Siemens AG to install a new Siemens HL-class gas turbine at a power generating station in North Carolina.

Under the deal, Wood Group will mobilize a team of 400 people to the project site to deliver the construction project for a period of 11 months. No financial details of the contract were given.

John Wood Asset Solutions Americas Chief Executive Andrew Stewart said: "This contract is a fantastic demonstration of Wood's ability to deliver a breadth of services to meet the needs of various customers in the power and process industries. This power plant is serving the growing demand for electricity, and the construction of a new combustion turbine station is part of a plant expansion program."
