ITM Power unveils new 'Hybrid Stack' technology

Wed, 08th Nov 2023 10:20

(Sharecast News) - ITM Power took the wraps off its latest innovation on Wednesday, the 'Hybrid Stack', designed to provide existing customers who operate earlier MegaWatt Electrolyser Platform (MEP) generation products with an efficiency boost of around 10%.

The AIM-traded firm said the Hybrid Stack would extend the benefits of the latest Trident stack platform to operators of earlier MEP generation electrolysers.

It said the Hybrid Stack had undergone rigorous validation and testing both at its own facilities and in real-world field conditions.

The operational data gathered during the tests demonstrated an efficiency improvement of around 10%, resulting in a proportional reduction in electrolysis operating costs.

"The Hybrid Stack makes our latest technology available to existing customers who can now take full advantage of efficiency improvements," said chief executive officer Dennis Schulz.

At 1032 GMT, shares in ITM Power were down 1.19% at 63.14p.
