IT recruitment picking up says InterQuest

Fri, 27th May 2011 11:12
Specialist IT recruitment firm, InterQuest, said its market was strengthening, with the number of contractors it had placed increasing by 4% since early January. The company said it was seeing signs the public sector had now stabilised while growth continued in its financial services focused businesses. This had also led to fee income from permanent recruitment increasing and a 'strong' pipeline of potential deals, InterQuest said. The firm is set to open a new Canary Wharf office in two weeks' time to cater to this increased demand. In a speech to InterQuest's AGM, executive chairman Gary Ashworth, said "the most significant development" in the group this year had been the recruitment of new chief executive, Mark Braund, and the re-initiation of the company's acquisition strategy.--mm
