Intercede Announces Password Eliminating Software With Intel

Tue, 01st Mar 2016 14:11

LONDON (Alliance News) - Intercede Group PLC said Tuesday announced new security software designed to work alongside Intel Corp's hardware-based identity protection technology Intel Authenticate.

The aim of the new software is to replace password-based access control to networks, applications and services with certificate-based, hardware backed protection. Intel and Intercede has worked to integrate Intercede's Minidriver and Virtual Reader software - part of Intercede's MyID platform, into Intel Authenticate.

"Intel Authenticate is a solid technology built to intelligently help secure Windows based platforms in today's enterprise environments," said Intercede Chief Executive Officer Richard Parris.

"We are proud to be working with Intel to provide differentiating technology that works with their new generation solution. Intel Authenticate, coupled with MyID, enables end-user companies to focus on their business and to protect their workforce and assets with a more highly secure solution that is cost-effective, easy to deploy and manage across a global enterprise," Parris added.

Shares in Intercede were up 2.0% at 128.00 pence Tuesday afternoon.
