IN BRIEF: Tekcapital's Salarius hires new CEO of MicroSalt arm in US

Tekcapital PLC - intellectual property investor focused on university technology - Portfolio firm Salarius Ltd hires Rick Guiney as chief executive officer of US subsidiary MicroSalt Inc. Salarius has developed a low-sodium 'better-for-you' salt called MicroSalt, using a mechanical process on the salt particle. Guiney, who replaces Victor Manzanilla, was CEO of Classic Snacks Inc. He also was Foodservice business manager for Quorn Foods in a 35-year career in the food industry, Tekcapital says.

Current Tekcapital stock price: 30.50 pence, down 1.6% on Wednesday

Year-to-date change: up 94%
