Foresight 4 VCT PLC - venture capital trust managed by Foresight Group LLP - Net asset value per share ends 2020 at 62.1 pence, up 11% from 55.8p at March 31. Notes change of year-end date to December 31 from March 31. So annual period covers nine-month period from March 31, 2020 to December 31, 2020.
Declares dividend of 2.8p during period.
The portfolio has seen an increase in valuation of GBP19.7 million during the period.
Chair Raymond Abbott says: "During the period under review the manager completed three new investments and three follow-on investments costing GBP4.6 million and GBP1.9 million respectively. The board and the manager are confident that a number of new investments can be achieved in the year ahead, particularly with the increased investment activity in the three months to December 31.
"Foresight Group, the company's investment manager, continues to see a pipeline of potential investments sourced through its regional networks and well-developed relationships with advisors and the SME community, however, it is also focused on supporting the existing portfolio through the Covid-19 pandemic. Following both the successful fundraises launched in May 2017 and June 2018, the company is in a position to fully support the portfolio, where appropriate, and exploit potential attractive investment opportunities."
