Foresight Enterprise VCT PLC - venture capital trust managed by Foresight Group LLP - Net asset value per share totals 63.8 pence as at June 30, up 2.7% from 62.1p recorded at the end of 2020. An interim dividend of 4.2p per share was paid on June 18, returning GBP8.1 million to shareholders. Including the payment of this dividend, NAV total return per share at the end of June was 68.0p, representing a positive total return of 9.5% in the period.
Foresight Enterprise VCT notes Covid-19 has brought disruption; however, it has also prompted many firms to reassess their business models and take action to adapt to a new economic landscape. A number of the company's investees have used this as an opportunity to review their overall strategy, venture into a new market or launch a new product or service.
During the half year, the company completed three new investments and one follow‑on investment totalling GBP4.1 million and GBP1.0 million, respectively, as well as announcing the sale of its investment in FFX Group Ltd.
