Berkeley Group Holdings PLC - Surrey, England-based housebuilder - Executive Chair Robert Perrins steps in to buy Berkeley shares, after an unscheduled trading sends them tumbling. Perris buys 7,000 shares at GBP28.78, worth GBP201,482, on Wednesday. Earlier Wednesday, Berkeley said it has decided to halt land buying amid a UK housing market downturn caused by the conflict in the Middle East. Berkeley also cited an "unprecedented" increase in cost and regulation in the UK in recent years, at a time of increasing interest rates and faltering consumer confidence.

Current stock price: 2,939.96 pence, down 14% in London on Wednesday

12-month change: down 19%
