Aptamer Group PLC - York, England-based company which develops custom affinity binders through its Optimer platform to enable new approaches in therapeutics, diagnostics and research applications - Notes "significant increase" in share price. Says, aside from announcement earlier, not aware of other reason for share jump.

Aptamer announced earlier on Wednesday it successfully developed a panel of Optimer binders to a new Alzheimer's disease biomarker, alongside its partner Neuro-Bio Ltd.

Current stock: 22.82 pence on Wednesday, more than doubled from 10.00p on Monday
