HarbourVest Global Private Equity Reports 16% Growth In Net Asset Value

LONDON (Alliance News) - HarbourVest Global Private Equity Ltd said Friday that its net asset value per share grew 16% in the financial year ended January 31.

The closed-end investment company reported net asset value per share of USD21.46 pence, up from USD18.47p a year ago. The 16% increase beat the previous year's increase standing of 10%.

From inception of the company in 2007, to 2018, the net asset value per share total return outperformed the FTSE All World Index at 114.6% against 73.6%.

The company ended the year with a net cash of USD257 million and an available facility of USD500 million.

The company reported USD340 million committed to new funds and at the end of the year it had USD1.2 billion available for new funding commitments.

HarbourVest share price during the year grew 4.8% from GBP11.95 to GBP12.52.

Shares in the investment trust were trading 4% higher at 1,230.00 pence.
