Gulf Keystone Petroleum Completes USD25 Million Buyback Scheme

(Alliance News) - Oil & gas firm Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd on Wednesday said it has completed a USD25 million share buyback programme it initiated in July.

The company said 8.3 million shares were purchased at a volume-weighted average price of 232.62 pence apiece.

The stock was trading 0.5% higher at 215.00p a share early on Wednesday in London.

Gulf Keystone said its capital comprises of 229.4 million shares, with 220.7 million shares in issue with voting rights.

The company said in July: "The buyback programme is aligned with the company's focus on capital allocation and will be an accretive use of funds whilst not impacting the company's ability to continue the execution of its existing investment programme."
