Griffin Mining Resumes Production At Caijiaying Mine

Mon, 24th Feb 2020 11:41

(Alliance News) - Griffin Mining Ltd on Monday said it has recommenced operations at its Caijiaying mine in China, after output was suspended following the Lunar New Year holiday, amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Earlier in February, Griffin Mining said work at its Caijiaying zinc, gold, silver and lead project had been restricted after the Chinese government halted all "non-essential business" to temper the spread of the coronavirus.

Milling operations, using stockpiled ore, continued until January 30, Griffin explained.

The virus has now claimed nearly 2,600 lives in China.

Griffin Mining shares were 2.4% lower at 60.00 pence each in London on Monday morning.
