LONDON (Alliance News) - Globalworth Real Estate Investments Ltd said Tuesday it will hold an extraordinary general meeting on March 29 so shareholders can authorise the firm's EUR500 million placing.
Globalworth Real Estate is looking to raise EUR500 million through the issue of 55.0 million shares "at or around the prevailing" EPRA net asset value per share price.
The company will issue 38.0 million of its own shares in the placing and will issue 17.0 million shares to Growthpoint Properties International for Growthpoint's 22% holding in Globalworth Real Estate subsidiary Globalworth Poland Real Estate.
On Monday, Globalworth Real Estate Investments increased its stake in its Polish subsidiary to 78%.
After the placing, Globalworth Real Estate will wholly-own Globalworth Poland.
The central and eastern European office investor said Monday the placing was to assist with the company's "strong pipeline of further high-quality investment opportunities".
Shares in Globalworth Real Estate closed down 2.4% at EUR8.10 each.
