LONDON (Alliance News) - Molecular diagnostics firm Genedrive PLC on Thursday said its IL28B SNP human genotyping test has been given CE-IVD certification by European regulators.
The test, Genedrive said, is performed in 50 minutes from a buccal cheek swab using Genedrive's hand-held PCR instrument.
The certification validates the Genedrive platform for use in pharmacogenomics, the company said.
"We are now looking to partner with pharma and contract research organisations to support the development of SNP assays for clinical trials and clinical applications," said Genedrive Chief Executive David Budd.
Shares in Genedrive were down 12% to 55.00 pence on Thursday.
