FTSE 250 movers: Momentum stocks under selling pressure

Ocado, Rightmove and PayPoint were registering heavy losses on Monday as technology-focused stocks bore the brunt of the wider market sell-off. UK markets were following last week's trend in the States where high growth, 'momentum shares' fell sharply as investors booked profits after the recent surge.Chip designer Imagination Technologies and consumer electronics component firm CSR were also trading firmly lower.Similarly, housing stocks were also under pressure after rising strongly after the last year with Redrow, Bovis Homes, Taylor Wimpey and Berkeley Group among the worst performers. A report by HomeOwners' Alliance raised concerns today about the recent rapid rise in house prices across the UK. The group said that more people now think house prices are a "very serious issue".Engineering group Kentz rose after winning a large follow-on contract for work on a major liquid natural gas facility in Australia. The electrical and instrumentation construction contract is worth A$615 (£344m) over a duration of 30 months, with work beginning in August.
