Former Lloyds Banking Finance Chief George Culmer Joins Aviva Board

(Alliance News) - Insurer Aviva PLC on Wednesday announce the appointment of former Lloyds Banking Group PLC finance chief George Culmer to its board.

Culmer left Lloyds in August, and he was previously chief financial officer at RSA Insurance Group PLC. He will join Aviva's board as a non-executive director immediately.

Chair Adrian Montague said: "George brings significant board level experience with 15 years as a FTSE 100 chief financial officer.

"He also has a deep understanding of insurance and wider financial services. George is an outstanding addition to our board and I am delighted to welcome him to Aviva."

Aviva shares were 1.6% lower on Wednesday at a price of 381.90 pence each.
