LONDON, May 6 (Reuters) - European wholesale gas prices extended falls on Wednesday on hopes for a potential U.S-Iran peace deal.
The benchmark Dutch front-month contract at the TTF hub was down nearly 12% at 41.3 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) by 1118 GMT, ICE data showed. The United States and Iran are closing in on an agreement on a one-page memorandum to end the war in the Gulf, a source from mediator Pakistan familiar with the negotiations said.
