European gas prices extend falls on potential US-Iran deal

LONDON, ​May 6 (Reuters) - European wholesale ​gas ‌prices extended falls on ⁠Wednesday on hopes ⁠for a ​potential U.S-Iran peace deal.

The benchmark Dutch front-month contract ​at ‌the TTF hub was down nearly 12% at ​41.3 euros per megawatt ‌hour (MWh) by 1118 GMT, ICE ‌data showed. The United States and Iran are closing ​in on an agreement ‌on a one-page memorandum to end the ⁠war ⁠in the Gulf, ‌a source from mediator Pakistan ​familiar ​with the ‌negotiations said.
