EnQuest posts higher production in 2025; notes extreme weather in 2026

Mon, 23rd Feb 2026 11:10

(Alliance News) - EnQuest PLC on Monday said 2026 started with "extreme weather in the UK North Sea" as it reported an increase in production for 2025.

The oil and gas company with operations in the UK and Malaysia said asset uptime was about 90% in 2025, with production above the top end of the company's guidance range at 45,600 barrels of oil equivalent per day. That is 12% higher than 40,700 boepd in 2024.

Chief Executive Amjad Bseisu said: "2026 has begun with extreme weather in the UK North Sea, which impacted our operations in January and February. Having successfully navigated similar third-party infrastructure outages last year, we remain confident in our ability to deliver top-quartile operating performance for the balance of the year and maintain stable year-on-year production."

He added: "Building shareholder value remains at the heart of our capital allocation decisions, and we will provide an update on the group's shareholder return plans when we announce final audited results in March."

For 2026, the company guides for between 41,000 boepd and 45,000 boepd, between 1.3% and 10% lower than in 2025.

EnQuest shares rose 2.7% to 15.47 pence each on Monday morning in London.
