Ecofin Global Utilities promotes senior director Nicklin to chair

Fri, 06th Mar 2026 11:44

(Alliance News) - Ecofin Global Utilities & Infrastructure Trust PLC on Friday said David Simpson has retired as chair after a decade at the company during yesterday's annual general meeting.

He is replaced by Susannah Nicklin, who joined the board of the global utilities and infrastructure trust in September 2020, and was appointed as senior independent director two years ago.

In addition to her new role, Nicklin will also continue to chair the Management Engagement Committee, but Max King is stepping in as senior independent director.

Simpson joined the trust during its formation following the reconstruction of Ecofin Water & Power Opportunities PLC, where he served as a non-executive director for about two years before the move.

Ecofin Global Utilities & Infrastructure shares were up 0.8% at 256.92 pence each on Friday morning in London.
